It's not every weekend you can see unicorns in Jacksonville, so we've got that going for us. Aside from the Unicorn World show in downtown Jacksonville, you can also see a local favorite musician, shop for hard-to-find vinyl and CDs, catch a Caribbean parade and festival or watch Jason Isbell and Jason Mraz in concert this weekend, all without traveling any farther than St. Augustine.

RickoLus

Sure, you probably could strap horns to ponies and convince kids that they’re seeing unicorns, but Unicorn World does it the hard way, using lifesize animatronic unicorns that youngsters can pet and pose with. There is an enchanted unicorn forest, craft and gaming areas and bounce houses. Tickets are sold on a timed basis, but you can stay as long as you like once inside. 9-5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Prime Osborn Convention Center. $30-$55.

Are you one of those people who like to actually hold the music you listen to? The Jacksonville Record & CD Festival might be just the thing for you, with more than 60 tables of hard-to-find vinyl and compact discs. It’s at the Herbert University Center at UNF from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Jason and Jason

Jason Isbell and Jason Mraz have very little in common, other than their first names and the fact that they’re playing back-to-back shows at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre this weekend. Isbell & the 400 Unit are touring to support their excellent new album, “Weathervanes,” but they’ve been playing plenty of old favorites on this tour. They play at 7 p.m. Saturday ($55-$78). Mraz is promoting a new album, “Mystical Magical Rhythmical Radical Ride,” and plays at 6:30 p.m. Sunday ($30.50-$100.50).
