Jason Aldean Reveals His Thanksgiving Tradition And It Involves Fire And Drinking

Jason Aldean has a very important role every Thankgiving holiday and it can be a dangerous job if he is not careful.

"I usually cook the turkeys. That's usually my contribution," Aldean told Radio.com. "I deep fry. I'm from the South. That's the only way we know how to eat 'em."

Frozen turkeys have been known to explode when dropped into boiling oil and firefighters respond to several turkey fires every year. It is fair to say that Aldean likes to live dangerously on turkey day.

He's Got Thanksgiving Drinking Down

The country singer believes that the holiday would not be complete without football and beer and he said that he has worked out a way so things do not get out of hand with the deep-fried turkey. Cooking while intoxicated is a concern of the singer but his several years of practice are finally paying off.

"It's actually a really good combo. It works. It's a good system," Aldean said. "That's kind of my thing: Eat, drink a little bit, watch football. It's a pretty good combo. You should try it out."

Cheat Day!

Aldean general keeps it healthy and revealed to Parade that he has a little help when traveling.

"We have a chef on the road with us so it’s pretty easy to eat out there. I have a list of things that I want on the bus every week when I get on there. And then I just try to stick to it when I’m at home too. I’m not over the top with it. With me, it’s just more of just trying to pay attention to choosing healthier foods and cut out sugar. It’s pretty simple stuff."

Diet and exercise have been a huge part of Jason's and his wife, Brittany Kerr Aldean's life since the birth of their baby girl, Navy, earlier this year. Brittany recently showed off her body after bouncing back and announced that she new face of South Beach Diet.

Brittany gained 40 lbs during each of her pregnancies but we are guessing that the few holidays pounds she will gain after eating the deep-fried turkey will be much easier to lose.

Thanksgiving at Kane Brown's House

Jason and Brittany are currently waiting for their house to be built so the holiday will not go down the same way this year but in a strange twist of events, while explaining that he cannot host this year, he said that he is renting a house that belongs to fellow country singer, Kane Brown.

“Typically we always do our family Thanksgiving at our house, but we’re in the process of building our house, so we’re living in a rental house right now. We’re living in Kane Brown’s old house right now,” Aldean said on The Ty Bentli Show.

“Kane just bought a new house, and he had a house he was trying to sell, so I was talking to him one day, and I said, ‘Man, I wish I had known you were buying a house — I’m paying rent — I’d rather pay it to you,'" Jason continued. "Plus, he lives very close to Chuck and Kasi. Where we were [renting] was probably 30 minutes away or so. And so, I was like, ‘Man, I wish I had known, I would have just paid you for a while,’ and he was like, ‘Man just move in. I don’t care, just move in to my house.’ So we moved in his house over there a couple of weeks ago and we’re gonna stay there until our house is built.”
