Jasmine Tookes Shares Excitement for Her First Holiday Season as a Mom: 'So Cool' (Exclusive)

The model, 32, welcomed her first baby, daughter Mia Victoria, in February

Jasmine Tookes is getting ready for her first holiday season as a mom.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel, 32, raves over her 8-month-old daughter, Mia Victoria as she tells PEOPLE what she’s most excited about with Thanksgiving and Christmas around the corner.

“Oh, my gosh. I'm most looking forward to just seeing her look at all the Christmas lights, [and] driving around,” Tookes shares at the Swarovski x SKIMS collection launch event at Swarovski's flagship Fifth Avenue store in N.Y.C. on Tuesday.

“She's just now starting to really realize everything, [and she’s] touching things.”

Tookes adds of her excitement for Christmas in particular: “I feel like her opening presents will be so cool.”

The model shares her daughter with husband Juan David Borrero, an exec at Snapchat and the son of Ecuadorian vice president Alfredo Borrero.

The two wed in Borrero’s home country of Ecuador in September 2021, one year after getting engaged — which Tookes previously told PEOPLE “was a total surprise.”

She announced the birth of Mia Victoria in February, writing on her Instagram Story that the newborn was the “prettiest little princess.”

"Thank you to all our friends and family for so much love,” she added. “We are so in love with her & are so excited for this next chapter in our lives."

Speaking to PEOPLE about her then-8-week-old daughter’s nursery, Tookes said that she was “feeling incredibly blessed and grateful” during the early stages of motherhood.

"Every day is filled with so much joy and love. It's an amazing feeling to see her little personality more and more each day," she said in April, two months after giving birth. "Just recently, she started smiling, and it truly melts my heart every time."

She admitted that there were plenty of “moments of exhaustion,” but said, “I wouldn't trade this experience for anything in the world!”

The model also elaborated on the inspiration behind her daughter’s name, which she said was a “special and collaborative process” with her husband.

"From the beginning, we wanted a name that was classic, feminine, and beautiful, with a regal touch. We started by compiling a list of names that we loved and shared them with our parents and siblings, asking them to rank their favorites," Tookes said. "Mia was the clear favorite among our family, closely followed by Victoria."

She continued, "We were torn between these two beautiful names, and that's when we had the idea to combine them."

"In Ecuador, where my husband Juan David is from, it's common to have two first names. We decided to honor that tradition and give our daughter the name Mia Victoria," she shared. "We wanted a name that would befit a little princess, and Mia Victoria felt like the perfect fit."
