Janet Jackson can dress to the nines — but she can also shine in a dressed-down look!

Last week, the “Rhythm Nation” singer, 57, braved frigid London temperatures in a cozy — but characteristically chic — ensemble.

For the rare outing, Jackson, who was spotted chatting on the phone and driving her Range Rover, showed off her street style chops by letting texture — not color — do the talking in the completely monochrome fit.

The performer's base layer was a simple gray sweatsuit, over which she layered a black, bomber-style puffer jacket. She also wore glasses with thick, black frames, and kept warm in a slouchy black beanie.

She tied the gray and black together with a star-patterned scarf complete with fringe, but the real star of the show was her boots — a pair of chunky, lug-sole sock boots.

For Jackson, sweatsuits, scarves and chunky glasses are a staple of her comfy casual style. But when she hits the stage or steps out for a star-studded event, she knows how to look stylish — any time, any place.

Last fall, the musician made a rare — and stylish — public appearance at New York Fashion Week.

For her inaugural NYFW look, which she wore to Christian Siriano’s 15th-anniversary show in September, the hitmaker swapped cozy fabrics for a skin-tight, wet-leather ensemble.

For the special show, the “Scream” singer rocked the designer from head to toe. She wore a bodycon turtleneck dress, floor-length trench coat and pair of thigh-high boots, all in the same stunning shade of burnt orange.

To accessorize the Siriano-designed ensemble with fishnet tights and gold, chunky jewelry. Beauty-wise, the singer pulled her tresses back into a sleek high ponytail-braid and donned a shimmery, bronzed makeup look.

And while Janet loves to keep it casual day to day, she has an undeniable passion for fashion, which she wasn’t afraid to show in the message she penned for Siriano on social media after the NYFW show.

“The show was INCREDIBLE!” Jackson wrote on Instagram. “You really outdid yourself with this collection! I’m SO proud of you Christian!”
