The 'Jane the Virgin' Cast Shows Us Their Best Telenovela Faces

Packed with steamy love triangles and jaw-dropping plot twists, The CW’s freshman comedy Jane the Virgin burns with the fiery passion of a Spanish telenovela. So when Yahoo TV chatted with the cast at last month’s PaleyFest LA panel, we couldn’t resist asking them to show us their best telenovela faces… and we’re so glad we did.

In the clip above, stars Gina Rodriguez, Justin Baldoni, Andrea Navedo, Jaime Camil, Ivonne Coll, Brett Dier, and Yael Grobglas give us a quick acting lesson, demonstrating soap opera reactions like “seductive,” “shocked,” “sad,” “angry,” and “planning something evil.” We especially love the improvised Spanish dialogue Coll throws in to set the scene (”You’re the daughter of whom?”), and Dier and Grobglas’s over-the-top facial contortions.

If you thought you couldn’t love this cast any more than you already did, well, you were wrong. Now if you don’t mind, we’re going to watch this again…
