Jane Fonda Jokingly References Megyn Kelly During ‘Today’ Show Interview

The arrest came after the 'Grace and Frankie' star launched her 'Fire Drill Fridays' civil disobedience campaign.

Jane Fonda has a lot on her mind.

The 80-year-old actress appeared on the Today show on Tuesday to promote season four of her Netflix show, Grace and Frankie, with her co-star, Lily Tomlin. And, while discussing their lifelong friendship, things took an unexpected turn.

“How long have you two known each other?” Hoda Kotb asked the pair. Fonda replied, “Fifty years.”

“Long time,” Tomlin added before turning to Fonda to jokingly say, “I think before your first facelift.” Fonda quickly replied, “Let's not go there. Who are you, Megyn Kelly?”

The room immediately erupted in laughter. Tomlin then said, “Oh, that’s right! I forgot she was the one. I thought it was Hoda or Savannah [Guthrie].”

Back in September, Fonda appeared on Kelly’s new show, Megyn Kelly Today, but had an awkward interview when the 47-year-old host asked Fonda about her previous plastic surgery. Needless to say, the moment went viral, but it looks like Fonda can now laugh about it.

The Oscar winner went on to give a quick health update following news that she had a cancerous growth removed from her lower lip.

“I had a little cancer removed, but I'm good now,” Fonda said. When asked how she stays fit, Fonda explained that she has a “really good trainer who comes over and we do weights.”

“On the set [of Grace and Frankie] we have a little gym that I set up with my trainer,” she added, which Tomlin joking replied, “I go and there's barely room for me.”

The new season of Grace and Frankie premieres Jan. 19.
