Jane Fonda’s Evil Sorceress In Disney Channel’s ‘Elena And The Secret Of Avalor’ – First-Look Photo

Here’s a first-look image of Jane Fonda’s raven-haired Shuriki, the evil sorceress of Disney Channel’s upcoming Elena And The Secret Of Avalor. The TV movie premieres Sunday, November 20 at 7 PM as a simulcast on Disney Channel and Disney Junior, and tells the backstory of the Elena Of Avalor series.

The movie reveals how Elena was imprisoned in a magical amulet by Fonda’s evil sorceress Shuriki. It also features the debut of Elena’s anthem “My Time,” performed by Aimee Carrero. The movie will also be available on the Disney Channel and Disney Junior apps and Disney Channel VOD beginning November 20.

In addition to Carrero and Fonda, the TV movie’s large voice cast includes Ariel Winter and Sara Ramirez, Chris Parnell, Yvette Nicole Brown, Carlos Alazraqui and Jenna Ortega, among others.

Elena And The Secret Of Avalor combines the creative teams from Disney’s Sofia The First and Elena Of Avalor. The TV movie was written by Craig Gerber and directed by Jamie Mitchell, both of whom serve as executive producers. John Kavanaugh is songwriter/music director and Kevin Kliesch is the composer. The movie is a production of Disney Television Animation.
