‘Re Jane’ Patricia Park Novel Developed As Comedy Series By Paramount TV, Anonymous Content & Daniel Dae Kim

Anonymous Content and Paramount TV have teamed with actor-producer Daniel Dae Kim to adapt Re Jane, based on Patricia Park’s novel. The half-hour comedy has been set up at TV Land.

Set in the geographically close but highly disparate worlds of Flushing, Queens, and Brooklyn, Re Jane is the story of Jane Re, a honhyol (mixed race) Korean American woman who feels like an outsider in every sense. Feeling trapped by Korean principles that have defined her life so far, she finds an opportunity to jump into a different life when she becomes an au pair to the adopted Chinese daughter of Beth and Ed, a couple of Brooklyn intellectuals.

Maria Maggenti (Before I Fall, Finding Carter) will write the project, which will be produced by Anonymous Content’s Steve Golin and Doreen Wilcox Little, along with Hawaii Five-O’s Daniel Dae Kim and Lindsay Goffman of 3AD for Paramount Television.

Maggenti is repped by Paradigm.
