Jana Kramer Celebrates 1-Year Anniversary with Fiancé Allan Russell: 'Here's to Many More'

Kramer's ex-husband Mike Caussin expressed support for the relationship in an Instagram comment

The love is strong between Jana Kramer and fiancé Allan Russell.

After welcoming their newborn son Roman James earlier this month, Kramer posted to Instagram on Monday to celebrate her and Russell's one-year anniversary, sharing a relationship montage video as well as a sweet note.

"Thank you @superiorstriker for one of the most magical years of my life and for loving me and all that comes with me the way you do," wrote the country star, 39, alongside the video, soundtracked by Ryan Mack's "Forever and Ever and Always."

She continued, "Amazing what can happen in a year 💙. Here’s to many more."

Underneath the post, Kramer's ex-husband Mike Caussin — with whom she shares daughter Jolie, 7, and son Jace, 5 — left a supportive comment. "I. Can't. 🫠🥹🙌🏻," wrote the former football star.

Earlier this month, Kramer and Russell, 42, welcomed their newborn, telling PEOPLE in a statement at the time, "Allan and I are both overjoyed and truly grateful to announce the birth of our son, Roman James Russell. We feel blessed to have been given the chance to create something so special together."

The couple continued, "The name Roman really isn't inspired by anyone, it's just a strong name that we both love, but James (his middle name) was both of our Grandpa's names, so that was a nod to them."

Last week, Caussin, 36, opened up about his gratitude for Kramer and Russell in a heartfelt Thanksgiving Instagram post, which featured a photo of himself and the engaged couple with Jolie and Jace.

"I’m going against my own reasoning for creating this account and choosing to make a personal post," Caussin began in the caption. "I have an immense amount to be thankful for, most of which is my family. Starting with my parents and siblings. Simply said ... they epitomize unconditional love."

"Next is my 'modern family,' " he continued alongside the Thursday photo post. "I’m incredibly grateful for where @kramergirl and I are at in our relationship. We have both found a way to flourish for ourselves and more importantly the kids. The fact that she has found someone like @superiorstriker only adds to my level of gratitude towards the entire situation."

"Jolie and Jace have the gift of three parents that love them and will do anything to protect them. As a father, what more could I ask for… Happy Thanksgiving 🙌🏼," Caussin concluded his post, which Kramer reposted to her Instagram Story alongside the word "thankful" and a blue heart emoji.

During a May episode of her Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast, the country star announced her engagement to her now-fiancé, after six-and-a-half months of dating.

Explaining Caussin's reaction to learning about the engagement on a FaceTime call with their daughter, Kramer recalled, "He was like, 'Hey, I'm really happy for you. Allan's a great guy.'"

After thanking Caussin, Kramer explained that she started to cry over her ex's reaction.

"Because he goes, 'Of all people, you deserve to have someone who loves you and respects you. You deserve this. After everything I put you through, you deserve this more than anyone.' And it meant so much to me that he said that," she said.
