Jamie's 5 Ingredient Meals has now come to an end, though you can still stream all four episodes on the Channel 4 website. The series began airing on Channel 4 on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 8 pm, with new episodes airing in the same slot.

The summary for the series from Jamie Oliver's website explained his approach and talked all about how he used recipes from his cookbook to demonstrate some 'brilliant tips and swaps' to 'make cooking easier and more affordable'.

What recipes featured in Jamie's 5 Ingredient Meals?

Jamie released a preview of the meals that feature in the first episode of 5 Ingredient Meals on his website.

Episode one saw Jamie showing off a new spin on chicken and chips, a lamb meatball recipe that Jamie said could either be enjoyed as a mezze dish or as a starter and a 'showstopping' fig tart. Spanish chef José Pizarro also dropped by to show how to spice up a humble slice of toast with some zorongollo on toast.

In the second episode, Jamie whipped up a one-pot roast dinner and served up a speedy carbonara designed to help make use of whatever vegetables you've got on hand. He also showed how to make homemade frozen lollipops and feta filo turnovers. Plus, Honey & Co's Sarit and Itamar showed off how to make mushroom sfiha (a flatbread stuffed with flavored mushrooms and a layer of creamy cheese!).

Episode three saw the chef serving up a speedy snack made with frozen veg and elevating store-cupboard staples in two hearty recipes. Plus, Italian chef Gennaro Contaldo is stopping by to make homemade gnocchi, all with five easy ingredients.

In the final episode, Jamie showed us an easy twist on a roast dinner, along with an apple pudding recipe and a comfort food classic. And as a final treat, French food YouTuber chef Alex Aïnouz served up some buckwheat crepes topped with feta, egg and peppers.
