Sisters know how to fight dirty, and Jamie Lynn Spears’ latest comments about her older sister Britney Spears prove that. She brought up an old argument recently that might cause tension between the two.

On Saturday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, the Zoey 101 star claimed that she’s “never taken anything” from her sister.

“I’ve never, ever … I’ve been the one person in her life – and she can say this – I’ve never taken anything from her, you know?” Jamie Lynn told fellow competitor Sam Thompson, per Page Six. “I’ve been the one person in her life who’s always said, ‘I just want to be your sister.’”

This directly contradicts the “Toxic” singer’s recent claims that her sister profited off her. In Britney’s memoir, The Woman In Me, she wrote that Jamie Lynn’s book, Things I Should Have Said, exploited her as she was trying to end her 13-year conservatorship in 2021.

“I was left with so many emotions: shock, relief, elation, sadness, joy,” Britney wrote about the end of the conservatorship, per TIME. “I felt betrayed by my father, and sadly, by the rest of my family, too. My sister and I should have found comfort in each other, but unfortunately that hasn’t been the case.”

She added, “As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalizing on it. She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous.”

Despite this, Britney wrote, “She will always be my sister, and I love her and her beautiful family. I’m working to feel more compassion than anger toward her, and everyone who I feel has wronged me.”

The two have had many public ups and downs since Britney’s conservatorship ended, including the “Gimme More” singer calling her sister out for not doing enough during the conservatorship, which Jamie Lynn called “a misunderstanding.”

Jamie Lynn explained more in yesterday’s reality show appearance. “She’s a good big sister, she is. Yeah, I love her,” the 32-year-old said, per Page Six. “Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, families fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.”

She continued, “Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing. We’ve had very complicated circumstances and we both had to deal with them in different ways. Sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have.”

“We just had a really weird life so we can’t explain it to many people, but at the end of the road I know that that’s my family, I love them,” Jamie Lynn added.

Britney has yet to address her sister’s latest statements — but we have no doubt she’ll say something when she’s ready.
