Jamie Foxx saves the day by returning lost purse to woman in Chicago

On Monday (July 10), an Instagram user named Quan Ellis shared an interaction between Jamie Foxx and a group of women in a pedicab. In a short video, Jamie was seen closing the door of his SUV and driving off while said group rejoiced over a recovered purse. “Mom lost her bag in Chicago today. Jamie Foxx found it and brought it to her, and he said he feels good. Y’all, God is good,” Ellis further explained in the post’s description.
The act of kindness marked the latest sighting of the actor since his highly publicized hospitalization a few months ago. As previously reported by REVOLT, the decorated entertainer was spotted on the Chicago River on Sunday (July 9), relaxing on a yacht as surprised fans passed by. In addition, TMZ obtained footage of Jamie (below) enjoying a day at Topgolf with loved ones in nearby Naperville, where he was said to have a better swing than the others participating.
Back in April, Jamie’s daughter, Corinne Foxx, revealed that her father had suffered “a medical complication” and was “already on his way to recovery.” Following growing speculation of his condition, Corinne later provided an update to shut down rumors.
“Sad to see how the media runs wild. My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks recuperating,” she said. “In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
In May, friend and fellow comedian Tiffany Haddish spoke on Jamie and his family’s decision to keep his health concerns as private as possible. “I just wish him all the success and healing and all the good stuff,” the Bad Trip actress stated. “He probably all right. He just don’t wanna be bothered with y’all.”
Despite the virtual radio silence, Jamie did deliver a short message in response to the outpouring of support received. “Appreciate all the love! Feeling blessed,” his Instagram post read in May.
