James Wan Promises 'Insidious' Fans Will Love 'Chapter 3'

Before James Wan directed the billion-dollar hit Furious 7, he had secured his legacy with horror fans helming the Saw and Insidious series. But to make time for the high-speed car franchise, he had to relinquish the Insidious: Chapter 3 director’s chair to Leigh Whannell, who also wrote the script and reprises his role as paranormal investigator Specs.

According to this exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the horror prequel, Wan felt the movie was in very capable hands. Plus, he remained involved as a producer. (He also makes a cameo as a theater director. Keep your eyes peeled!)

Set before the haunting of the Lambert family in the 2010 original sleeper hit, and starring Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Angus Sampson, and Lin Shaye, Insidious: Chapter 3 opens Friday.
