James Middleton and Alizee Thevenet are sharing their exciting baby news with the world.

After the couple was spotted in London pushing a stroller, revealing that they had welcomed their first child, Kate Middleton's younger brother officially shared the announcement on his Instagram page.

On Friday, James shared the first look at his baby on Instagram with three new photos of their adorable addition.

The James & Ella founder also revealed that their child is a boy named Inigo.

"He has been in our lives for just a few weeks, but they have been the most special of my life getting to know our beautiful baby boy," the new dad captioned the Instagram post.

"No matter how prepared I thought I was…I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion of meeting Inigo for the first time and the love for my darling Alizée as we became three," James added.

Although the baby is James and Alizee's first child, they already have a large family — if dogs count! The couple shares six dogs — Mabel, Zulu, Inka, Luna, Nala and Isla — who are fixtures on James' social media...and part of the inspiration behind his dog food company, James & Ella.

Unsurprisingly, the first photos of the baby included their pets. "The dogs have been fantastic at welcoming their little brother into the pack (although Inka needs to know the teddybears are not all for her…)," James revealed.

The first photo in the Instagram carousel featured a pin (which he wore to King Charles' coronation earlier this year) showing James' beloved dog Ella, who died early this year. James has credited his pup with introducing him to his wife. In a 2019 piece for The Telegraph, he revealed that he met Alizee at the South Kensington Club after his cocker spaniel “made a beeline” for the French financial analyst.

"We have settled into our new life as parents, and I’ve told him all about Ella and that if it wasn’t for her, he wouldn’t be here today and that we miss her greatly," James wrote.

After the announcement of the pregnancy, James spoke about how he was preparing his pets for the new arrival on Good Morning Britain.

“I have pep talks with the dogs quite a lot about what we're about to be going through, and I think that is a really exciting next step for us as a family. I'm very much looking forward to it and I know the dogs are very excited,” he said in a video shared by Hello! magazine.

After their chance meeting in 2018, James and Alizee got engaged a year later and wed in France in September 2021.

They announced in July that they were expecting their first child.

"We have a new member of the pack coming soon, we couldn’t be more excited," a photo showing Alizee's baby bump with their two golden retrievers, Mabel and Isla, was captioned.

Over the summer, James, Alizee and the dogs took a boat trip, which he documented on Instagram.

"Treasuring moments like this and cannot wait to have another little human joining our adventures too," James wrote.
