James Marsden ‘Can’t Answer’ Whether or Not Teddy Is Alive on ‘Westworld’ (Video)

James Marsden isn’t giving out any clues about Teddy’s ultimate fate on HBO’s “Westworld.”

On Thursday, the “Sonic the Hedgehog” star headed to CBS’ “Late Show” to plug his feature film, an adaptation of the classic SEGA Genesis video games. Stephen Colbert had a couple of non-“Sonic” topics in mind, including whether or not we’ll see Teddy Flood in Season 3.

Colbert didn’t get much out of Marsden. Below is how that exchange went.

Colbert: “I’m a ‘Westworld’ fan as I’ve said to you before. And last season, Teddy is killed.”

Marsden: “Yes.”

Colbert: “Now, really killed — or, like, ‘Westworld’ killed?”

Marsden: “You know I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you to tell you.”

Marsden: “You know I can’t answer these things.”

Can’t, or won’t, James?

Marsden then went back to his Matthew McConaughey impression, which is very solid.

An interesting tidbit came up earlier in Marsden and Colbert’s conversation.

Marsden said he couldn’t make Sunday’s Oscars because he was “working.” “Sonic,” which is out in theaters today, is clearly in the can. He could have been referring to his role as Phil Crane on “Mrs. America,” or perhaps it had something to do with “Westworld” Season 3.

The third season of “Westworld” premieres March 15 on HBO. FX’s “Mrs. America” debuts exactly one month later.
