James Kennedy Reacts To Viral Taylor Swift Video During His Cruel Summer Remix

Not only did DJ James Kennedy get to play at Coachella, but he caught the attention of Taylor Swift in so doing.

On April 15, a TikTok went viral showing Taylor reacting to James’ remix of Cruel Summer. Fans noted the way she seemed to glance at the camera like Jim from The Office as the song moved to a bass drop.

With the clip going viral, it was really only a matter of time before the Vanderpump Rules star addressed the situation. And he was not shy to draw attention to it.

James takes credit for “setting the mood” for Taylor and Travis

On April 15, James posted some self-appraising photos to his Instagram Stories. One photo showed Travis Kelce and Taylor sharing a kiss. He wrote in the corner of the photo, “Listening to my Anyma x Lose Control mix,” adding that he was “Setting the mood haha.” In another post to his story, he bragged that Taylor and Travis were “having a ball” as he “was playing.”

James further shared that he was “living for” Taylor’s reaction to Cruel Summer remix. The only question now is, how long James is going to keep milking the new relation to T-Swift? It was already a dream come true for him to perform at Coachella. Now to have so much notoriety pouring in from the Taylor association? James must be on Cloud Nine.

And frankly, I can’t even blame him. If my name was mentioned in the same breath as Taylor Swift, I would ride that association for all it was worth. Let’s just hope James can keep his head from getting too big. As one TikTok commenter said, “I’m not ready to live in a universe where taylor swift knows who james Kennedy is.”
