James Corden’s Adele Carpool Karaoke Sets Late-Night YouTube Record

The Late Late Show With James Corden‘s Carpool Karaoke video with Adele has surpassed 67.5M views, making it the most-watched late-night YouTube clip ever, CBS announced this afternoon.

“Adele Carpool Karaoke” also is the fastest-growing late-night clip on YouTube, according to data from Tubular Labs. Within its first five days on YouTube, the clip had generated a record-breaking 42 million views. In addition, the video drove a double-digit percentage increase in subscribers to the show’s YouTube channel in that same time period. This marks the second milestone for The Late Late Show this week: Sunday’s post-Super Bowl broadcast delivered nearly 5M viewers – the series’ most-watched broadcast since the show’s inception in 1995.

In total, the YouTube channel for Corden’s CBS talker show has hit more than 630 million total views and 3.1 million subscribers since the show’s premiere on March 23, 2015. The show is the most social broadcast late-night talk show in its time period (12:37-1:37 AM) season-to-date, based on total tweets and social impressions, according to Nielsen Social.
