James Bond star Colin Salmon opens up about difficult COVID hospitalisation

Former James Bond star Colin Salmon has opened up about his difficult experience with coronavirus.
The Krypton and Mortal Engines actor played MI6 aide Charles Robinson in the Pierce Brosnan-era movies Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.
Posting to Twitter on Thursday (January 25), Colin revealed he had been diagnosed with COVID-19.
He also revealed he was hospitalised after a struggle with falling oxygen levels.

"Recorded this last week 9 days after my Covid hospitalisation," Colin wrote.
"I'm getting there but this is real and affects us all. #covid19 #vaccine take a moment of self care and please watch this."
Thankfully, the actor appears to now be on the mend.
On Sunday (January 31), Colin tweeted again to thank fans for their "kind thoughts and best wishes", urging them to 'look after themselves' and keep an eye out for symptoms several days after infection.

"Thank you for your kind thoughts and best wishes," he wrote.
"Hope my story helps someone. Be aware that between day 10-14 Covid can often switch on the inflammation, so as much as they say you’re ok please be aware it takes its time and is constantly changing. Look after yourselves."

Colin's tweets follows stars including Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba and John Bishop all revealing their COVID-19 diagnoses.
It also follows Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway revealing a sad update about husband Derek Draper's condition months after contracting the virus.
