James Bond enters a 'hurricane' in first 'Spectre' teaser: Watch now

There’s A LOT to unpack in the first teaser for Spectre

The teaser opens with Eve Moneypenny announcing that James Bond has a secret that he can’t tell anyone because he can’t trust anyone, while handing him personal effects that forensics released from Skyfall.

It then cuts to beautiful mountainscapes, and Bond walking toward a snow-capped cabin where he meets a man. Bond tells the man his name came up at a meeting. No, it wasn’t at MI6. We don’t know where it was, but a ring with a symbol on it seems to give some indication. “You’re a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr. Bond,” the man says. The teaser’s end could give us a glimpse at that hurricane.

It wraps with a soft, xylophone cover of the series’ famous theme, and a message: “Welcome James,” says a shadowed figure, who sounds an awful lot like Christoph Waltz, who plays Franz Oberhauser in the film. “It’s been a long time, and finally…here we are.” And, in true Bond fashion, a gunshot.

What does this all mean? Watch the video here, and unpack the teaser in the comments below.

Spectre hits theaters Nov. 6, 2015.
