The star cornerback has rejoined the Jaguars and is on the team plane to Denver, where they’re scheduled to face the Broncos on Sunday.
I’m told CB Jalen Ramsey is on the team plane and headed with the #Jaguars to Denver. His status for tomorrow is still up in the air due to the back issue, which had him listed as questionable on the game status report.

Ramsey’s return comes after missing a full week of practice amid a trade request. First, Ramsey called in sick on Monday. Then he missed practice Wednesday with a back injury that caused head coach Doug Marrone to snicker when asked about it. Finally, he left the team indefinitely for the birth of his child, which was much more understandable.
While Ramsey returned to the team Saturday, the team ruled him inactive for Sunday’s game.
Ramsey’s trade request still standing
Ramsey went public with his trade request last week after getting into a very visible argument with Marrone, and he’s maintained it despite Jaguars owner Shad Khan reportedly wanting to make him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL.
Ramsey has two years of team control remaining on his contract, including a $13.7 million team option that the Jaguars exercised last offseason.
The Jaguars, for their part, have reportedly indicated they don’t want to trade the cornerback as they compete for a wide-open AFC South. If they were hypothetically interested, the asking price would reportedly be two first-round picks.
An available Ramsey would have no shortage of suitors, as just about any contender in the NFL could use an extra Pro Bowl cornerback. We’ll see if the Jaguars eventually grant his request.
