Jake Paul is out of a job.

Disney Channel announced Saturday that the 20-year-old YouTube star will no longer appear on its one-year-old show Bizaardvark. Paul, who rose to fame on the now-defunct video app Vine, joined the Disney sitcom about teens who make internet videos in 2015. He played a character named Dirk Mann.

“We’ve mutually agreed that Jake Paul will leave his role on the Disney Channel series Bizaardvark,” a Disney spokesperson said. “On behalf of the production company, the cast and crew, we thank Jake for his good work on the TV series for the past 18 months and extend our best wishes to him.”

Paul confirmed the news on his Twitter, where he wrote, “Love you all! Thanks for the support … Can’t wait to continue to grow and conquer” and how he wants to spend more time working on his “personal brand.”

Paul has made headlines lately for his allegedly not-so-neighborly behavior in his West Hollywood home. In a recent TV report that aired in Los Angeles Monday, neighbors of Paul said they were looking to meet with city officials about Paul’s antics, like setting fire to furniture in an empty pool.

Earlier this year, Paul reportedly raised $1 million to launch TeamDom, a unique talent and management agency to help up-and-coming digital influencers.

In the meantime, production on the second season of Bizaardvark will resume Monday.
