Country artists on site at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas responded immediately via Twitter as shots began ringing out last Oct. 1 to let their fans know they were safe and to ask for prayers for those less fortunate.
Headliner Jason Aldean, who was on stage when the shooting occurred, was quick to take to Instagram to express his grief over the tragedy and inform fans that he and his crew were safe. At least 50 festivalgoers have died and more than 400 are injured, according to police, making it the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.
