Jake Burton Created Burton's Latest Collection With His Own Two Hands

Back in 1977, a guy named Jake Burton started a snowboard company in a Vermont barn. Over 40 years later, the Burton name is practically synonymous with the sport itself, supplying boards, gear, shoes, merch, and more for riders all over the globe.

While that level of success is the dream for any business owner, no one can do it alone. There comes a time when the boss must cede some of the work to people he trusts, to people he respects, and people who can keep their dream afloat. It's a good and necessary compromise, but it's a compromise nonetheless. Following a boost of creative energy that came after his recent and well-publicized health scare, Jake Burton is taking it back to where it all began: his own two hands.
