Jaden Smith Might Be Justin Bieber’s Fashion Muse

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. James Franco and Seth Rogen. Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon. Hollywood is full of bromances, but Justin Bieber’s friendship with Jaden Smith may trump them all thanks to the Biebs’s recent fashion venture with Barneys New York.

Jaden, 18, made headlines earlier this month with his cover story for the August issue of Nylon. The actor and rapper, who has been transcending the unspoken “rules” of masculinity with his wardrobe, opened up to the magazine about why he often wears skirts.

The gender-bending son of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith explained that he is happy to take the brunt of the insults now if it means that “in five years when a kid goes to school wearing a skirt, he won’t get beat up and kids won’t get mad at him.”

But it looks as if Jaden won’t be taking the blows alone. Justin, 22, recently teamed up with Fear of God’s Jerry Lorenzo to create a “Purpose” tour capsule collection for Barneys — and the kilt-filled line (which also features lots of plaid and destroyed denim) looks very Jaden Smith.

Could Jaden be Justin’s muse?

It appears that the “Sorry” singer is proudly joining Jaden in his quest to make men in skirts the norm — well, the norm for men with a not-so-normal budget. (The plaid brushed-twill kilt retails for a whopping $840!)

But Justin’s support of Jaden would hardly come as a surprise, considering that the pair have remained close friends throughout the ups and downs of growing up in the spotlight.

In the early days of their friendship, a newly famous Justin and a young Jaden were often spotted sitting side by side at Lakers games or clubbing at NYC’s Espace. You know, what most teens do at ages 17 and 13.

What started as a teenage bromance clearly never died out. Last night at Justin’s New York City show, Jaden joined him on the Madison Square Garden stage to belt out the duo’s 2010 hit, “Never Say Never.”

Jaden later posted an emotion-filled Instagram of the two onstage, captioning the shot, “I Love You Big Bro Thank You.”

Bieber took to Instagram this morning to display his gratitude for Smith and reposted the same photo with the caption, “Love you brother man.”

Awww!

Our theory: Jaden is Justin’s fashion muse because Jaden is Justin’s OB —Original Belieber.

Whatever the case may be, may the Jaden-Justin bromance live on.
