Pinkett Smith brushed off 'The View' cohost's criticisms, saying she should read her book before passing judgment.

The View's Ana Navarro thinks Jada Pinkett Smith is doing herself no favors by “emasculating and embarrassing” husband Will Smith on the publicity tour for her memoir Worthy.

During a recent The Breakfast Club appearance, Pinkett Smith was asked for her take on Navarro’s criticisms.

"Well, I think if she took time to read the book, you know?" she said. "I think that ... if you wanna just read headlines, I could see how that could be confusing. But the book is right here."

Pinkett Smith continued, "People have a right to their opinions. I always know that anybody who's saying that hasn't really done their homework."

On an Oct. 11 episode of The View, Navarro said she feels that Pinkett Smith "drops these bombshells" as publicity stunts "to sell books," and that she finds it "unseemly." Nearly two weeks later, on Oct. 23, Navarro said that she thought Smith was an "emotional prisoner."

When cohost Sunny Hostin suggested she read Worthy, Navarro said, "I don't wanna read the book. I don't wanna give them another dime for her emasculating and embarrassing him to everybody in the world."

Pinkett Smith went on to say that she expects reactions like Navarro's due to "what the headlines are" and "what 'clickbait' is," but as long as she, Smith, and their kids "know what it is" that's all she's "concerned with at the end of the day."
