Jada Pinkett Smith Has Relatable Mom Moment Reacting to Kids Jaden, 25, and Willow, 23, at the 2024 Met Gala

Jada Pinkett Smith is one proud mom!

The star, 52, had a sweet response to watching her son, Jaden Smith, and daughter, Willow Smith, (both of whom she shares with husband Will Smith) take 2024 Met Gala day by storm.

On May 7, the Red Table Talk host reposted a photo of the two of them posing in front of The Mark hotel, the famous New York City landmark that hosts a slew of A-listers in the days ahead of the of the annual benefit.

“These two,” Pinkett Smith wrote on Instagram.

The images show the siblings posing with the MsftsRep clothing brand co-founders in coordinating black-and-white tailored looks that they eventually showcased on the Metropolitan Museum of Art's famous steps.

Jaden, 25, looked dapper in a tailored custom Thom Browne ensemble featuring a white denim coat decorated with white and pink dahlia adornments and multiple straps. He showed a hint of skin with this unbuttoned shirt and wore a pleated skirt over trousers.

Willow, 23, wore a boxy blazer as minidress, sheer tights and stilettos. She wore her hair in a towering cylindrical braided hairstyle done by hairstylist Vernon François in collaboration with Olaplex.

On Instagram, François explained that he drew inspiration from the “intricate beauty of Mangbetu tribe hairstyles.”

“I was completely captivated by the traditional craftsmanship of binding raffia, banana fiber, or hair around the head, and weaving natural hair into rattan frames. This inspired me to extend Willow’s structures while honoring this rich cultural tradition,” he wrote.

Willow then changed into a sexy afterparty look courtesy of Chained by Sedona. The “Wait a Minute” singer went for a skin-revealing gold chainmail dress and towering platform heels.

The Smith kids have been to the Met Gala together two times now. The pair made their debut in 2016 and dressed up in coordinating sparkly black outfits. The Karate Kid star also went solo for the first time in 2017 when he famously carried a bundle of his own blonde dreadlocks as an accessory.

Pinkett Smith and her husband have not yet gone to the Met Gala.
