Jacqueline Avant, the wife of legendary record executive Clarence Avant, was shot and killed during a home invasion on Tuesday night.

TMZ reports that the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. local time at the Avant family’s home in the Trousdale Estates, a high-end neighborhood of Beverly Hills. Avant was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Clarence Avant was reportedly home at the time of the incident, but his current condition is unclear.

Last month, Clarence was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Jackie and Clarence’s daughter, Nicole Avant, is married to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos.
