Jacob Elordi Shares Moment Leonardo DiCaprio Told Him He's a “Euphoria” Fan in Nightclub

The actor opened up about the encounter with DiCaprio during an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' Friday

Jacob Elordi has some seriously famous fans!

The Euphoria star, 26, has recently revealed that none other than Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio, 49, loves his work.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Friday, the Australian actor talked to host Jimmy Fallon about the drama, in which he plays high school football star Nate Jacobs alongside Zendaya. 

Asked about famous fans of the show, Elordi told Fallon, 49, “the biggest one is Leonardo DiCaprio. Which sounds like a crazy name-drop and it is a crazy name-drop.”

Revealing how he found out that the Titanic legend was a fan of his work, Elordi said, “He came up to me in a club one time when I was much younger.”

The actor went on to share that DiCaprio was praising Euphoria's camera work and a shot featuring Elordi in the first season, while they were in the middle of the noisy venue.

Fallon then referred to DiCaprio as “one of the greatest actors of all time,” which Elordi agreed with. “He’s the GOAT (Greatest of All Time)," he said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Elordi discussed when filming of the next season of Euphoria would be filming, noting that he didn't know but hoped it would be "soon" or "they'll have to Benjamin Button me or something."

"I'm going to have a bad back... walking down the hallway," the actor also joked.

"I'm assuming that we'll have to go forward, otherwise it's going to seem like a weird bit," Elordi said in response to Fallon asking if the next season would be set in the future.

Fallon’s interview also covered smash hit movie Saltburn in which Elordi portrays Felix Catton. The film — which is directed by Emerald Fennell — has received numerous award season nods including, most recently, two BAFTA nominations for Elordi himself.

Opening up about the nominations for best supporting actor and rising star, the actor told Fallon he was honored to be listed alongside Robert De Niro and Paul Mescal. 

“I can’t believe it, I admire these people,” Elordi said.

It's a busy week for the actor, who, in a recently released promotional video for SNL, made light of any nerves he might have as he prepares to make his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

In the clip, the actor stood at the top of the SNL staircase but struggled to make his way down, despite encouragement from cast members Marcello Hernández and Punkie Johnson.

“Hey man, you good?” Johnson asks Elordi to which he says to himself in response, “They all make it look so easy.”

Despite his best efforts, Elordi only reaches the stage when his shoe gets caught on a mat and he falls down the stairs and is left mumbling, “I’m good, I’m good,” while lying face down on the floor.

Meanwhile, in his romantic life, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE earlier this week that Elordi is still dating Olivia Jade Giannulli despite speculation that the pair had called it quits.

Elordi and YouTube star Giannulli reportedly split in August 2022 but later reconciled and were seen vacationing together in Italy in June 2023. In mid-July, the pair was also spotted spending time with with Giannulli's parents Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli on Lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho.

The sources also revealed that Giannulli is in New York City supporting her man while he appears on SNL.
