Jacksonville man dies after cement truck hits wall, rolls down embankment on Nocatee Parkway

A 36-year-old Jacksonville man died Thursday morning when the cement mixer truck he was driving hit a concrete barrier wall.

The man was traveling eastbound on Nocatee Parkway, east of U.S. Highway 1, in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. At around 11:40 a.m., he lost control of the vehicle when it entered a curve on the flyover. He hit the concrete barrier and overturned down the embankment.

The man was wearing a seatbelt. The accident is under investigation. No further details were available.
