Jackie Chan's estranged daughter marries girlfriend, says it's the first time in her life she has 'felt love'
Jackie Chan’s estranged daughter has found her “happily ever after.”
Etta Ng Chok Lam — the actor’s 19-year-old love child with beauty queen Elaine Ng Yi Lei — shared on Instagram that she married her girlfriend, Andi Autumn, in Toronto on Nov. 8. Her dad, with whom she has never had a relationship, didn’t score an invite to the wedding. Not only did she blast her parents earlier this year for being “homophobic,” but her wedding-announcement post described how she and her new wife “never felt love” as children. Since they found each other, that has changed.
United by love & law ♡ On our wedding day~ . . . If you never give up on love and you put all your heart into the family youve dreamed of, an open mind and warm heart will guide you to happiness. We have been in the persuit of happiness the day we were born. Abused as children who never felt love, we have so much to give. We have concorcured our fears, accepted our faults, and now we understand that the people who hurt us are hurting still. We have all been hurt but if you can dream of love, you can find it. Love is kind, it does not judge. Love is both strength and weakness. Love can make change. Love wins! ♡ #lovewins #gaymarriage #lgbtq #fightforwhatsright #love #iloveyou #teamlove

Along with a photo of them holding up their marriage license while kissing, the post said they were “united by love & law” on their wedding day. “If you never give up on love and you put all your heart into the family you’ve dreamed of, an open mind and warm heart will guide you to happiness,” it said. “We have been in the [pursuit] of happiness the day we were born. Abused as children who never felt love, we have so much to give.” They wrote that they have conquered their fears and accepted their faults, “and now we understand that the people who hurt us are hurting still. We have all been hurt but if you can dream of love, you can find it. Love is kind, it does not judge. Love is both strength and weakness. Love can make change.” It ended with “Love wins!”
Andi, a social media influencer from Canada, shared a video of their nuptials.
♡ Back to Hong Kong as Wife & Wife ♡ Love has opened our eyes, opened our minds, and our hearts can feel whole. With this love, comes unbelievable strength and confidence to ignore our own pain, shut down our ego, and know exactly who we are and what we want. We will power on with positivity so that other voices who are silenced can finally embrace their inner truths. @ettazen has given me the gift of being my true self and it's so hard to explain the change I feel. I'm no longer scared, I no longer have to find coping mechanisms to get through an hour of the day. My whole life I thought I was toxic, she made me realize I was surrounded by negativity. Now that its gone, this new feeling has taken over and I now know I deserve just as much as the world has to offer. And guess what? WE ALL DO! ♡ THE NEW GENERATION DESERVES MORE! Feel the love we have to share, we can all get there. ♡♡♡ Happiest day of my life ♡♡♡ #lovewins #gaymarriage #lgbtq #fightforwhatsright #love #iloveyou #teamlove

The pair has since returned to Hong Kong as “Wife & Wife.” Andi (real name: Andrea Autumn Marcoux) wrote that Etta has changed her life: “My whole life I thought I was toxic, she made me realize I was surrounded by negativity. Now that its gone, this new feeling has taken over and I now know I deserve just as much as the world has to offer. And guess what? WE ALL DO!”
There is nothing greater than true love found. With love we've returned. My home is Hong Kong, a beautiful city full of life and passion. Home is where love is. Home is safety and I know too many that do not feel safe within the environment they were given but the new tide is rising. A home is with the family that you can choose and with that we are never alone. Love is undoutbly stronger than blood. Everyone deserves love and not until I felt love can I be sure that understanding, connecting, attention and love in the face of hate can heal the most depraved of hearts Love always wins. Always.. . . . . . . . . #lovewins #gaymarriage #lgbtq #fightforwhatsright #love #iloveyou #teamlove

In April, Etta made headlines when she said that she and Andi were “homeless” and sleeping “under a bridge” due to “homophobic parents.” The pair went public with their romance in October 2017.
Elaine later denounced her daughter’s claims, telling the website Coconuts that the teen needed to get a job. “I feel that if they have no money, they should go find work,” she said. “They shouldn’t film a clip telling others they are broke and who Etta’s father is. People all over the world work hard and don’t rely on someone else’s fame to get money.” Elaine also said her daughter has “emotional problems.”
Chan hasn’t spoken about his daughter’s wedding (Yahoo has reached out to his rep) — or her past “homophobic” claims. By all accounts, they have no relationship. While Chan was married to his current wife, Joan Lin, he and Elaine had an affair, leading to Etta. Although he acknowledged the affair (without using the word “cheating”), he hasn’t ever spoken publicly about his daughter. Elaine raised her without support from Chan, and Etta told Express in 2015 that the movie star “never existed in my life” and she “will never regard him as a father.”
