Steve-O is celebrating the progress he’s made in his weight loss journey.

On May 10, the former Jackass star posted a before-and-after photo on Instagram, sharing he’s lost 20 lbs. since focusing on his health in February. In the photo, the 49-year-old is flexing his muscles while wearing nothing but a leopard-print speedo.

“These photos are three months and TWENTY POUNDS apart! My 50th birthday is next month, and I decided to kick Father Time in the nuts as hard as I can by getting as healthy as possible,” he captioned the post. “Ranch life is good, thanks so much to @jbird48 for shooting my sexy ‘after’ shots!”

Part of the reality star’s healthy lifestyle includes maintaining his sobriety.

Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, has been unflinchingly honest about his addiction and past drug use. In March, he celebrated 16 years of sobriety.

On March 10, he celebrated the milestone on Instagram alongside a transformation photo of himself, thanking his friend and Jackass co-creator Johnny Knoxville for getting him help back in 2008.

“It’s truly nuts that I’m celebrating a full sixteen years of sobriety today,” he wrote. “It all began when @johnnyknoxville organized an intervention which saved my life on March 9, 2008. I cannot even put into words how grateful I am for my recovery… Thank you, Captain!!!”

Back in September 2022, Steve-O published his book A Hard Kick in the Nuts: What I've Learned from A Lifetime of Terrible Decisions, in which he discussed his sobriety journey after battling numerous forms of addiction.

"It's been more of an exercise in just understanding that I don't know how to rein anything in and just kind of accepting that moderation is not my strong suit," he told PEOPLE. "Accepting who you are, and what about that is not gonna change, I think is a big part of it for me. I've come to accept that I'm never gonna be a moderation guy."

He continued: "As it relates to addictions, I think that it's about sort of surrendering to the process of recovery... the first step in the 12 steps being admitting that we're powerless in our lives. We admit defeat, you know? And you surrender when you've been defeated. So that's kinda how you address addiction."

Steve-O credited much of his positive change to long-time fiancée Lux Wright. "I do not believe there is a single person in my orbit who's even remotely close to me or cares about me at all who doesn't recognize that, in my relationship with Lux, I am a better version of myself," the actor and comedian said.
