Bam Margera has been granted visitation with his son.

In court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Friday, Nicole 'Nikki' Boyd, 39, and the Jackass star, 44, have agreed to "in-person supervised visitation" with son Phoenix, 5, in California.

Visits will last "up to 4 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday with a 7-day notice" from Margera to Boyd.

These visits will be supervised by a "mutually agreed upon third party," as long as they are able to agree on one. In the event they cannot reach an agreement on a third party, visits will be "professionally supervised."

In that scenario, Boyd would provide Margera with a list of three supervisors to choose from, with a 72-hour window for response.

The exes also agreed that "it is in the best interest that no images of the minor be posted on any social media platform."

The pair welcomed Phoenix in December 2017 and raised him in Pennsylvania until their relationship ended in the fall of 2021 after Boyd made a "unilateral move to California," per court documents previously obtained by PEOPLE.

Around that time, Boyd filed a petition for custody and support of Phoenix in California — paperwork that Margera claimed was filed under a "false name" of Nicole Margera.

Other previous documents obtained by PEOPLE indicated that Boyd wanted Margera to have visitation rights provided that it's in the Los Angeles County region. She also requested to obtain spousal support and wanted Margera to cover her attorney's fees.

During a 2019 appearance on Dr. Phil, Margera opened up on how his only child saved his life by giving him the will to live. At the time, Margera emotionally declared his then-toddler as his “best friend” and admitted he’d do anything for him, leading Dr. Phil McGraw to ask if he would die for his child. “Yeah, big time,” Margera said in response before Dr. Phil added, “The question is: Will you live for him?”

“Well, that’s the thing. I had such a mental breakdown that I really thought, like, I … could just go to the lake and be free. I was like the pain was gone and I had to beg for pain back. I was like, ‘Please just give me back my pain so I could stay because I want to be with him,’” Margera shared. “Whatever breaking point there is to a person, I’ve reached it.”

“It was just everything all at once,” the pro skateboarder continued. “It was Nikki and her stubbornness not listening and I’m trying to get away from her and she keeps coming and talking at me and yelling at me.’”
