Jack White Bans Phones From His Shows

He promises a “phone-free, 100% human experience”

This spring, Jack White will tour behind his new solo record, Boarding House Reach. In advance of those dates, White has informed fans that the use of phones will be strictly prohibited, as NME points out. A statement from White promises the tour to be a “phone-free, 100% human experience,” noting that fans who want to share pictures and videos are encouraged to repost from White’s newly initiated social media account, @officialjackwhitelive, after the event. The statement suggests, “We think you’ll enjoy looking up from your gadgets for a little while and experience music and our shared love of it IN PERSON.”

Boarding House Reach is due out March 23 (via Third Man/Columbia). So far, White has shared two tracks from the record: “Connected by Love” and “Respect Commander.”
