Jack White Announces 'We’re Going to Be Friends' Children’s Book

By Amanda Wicks and Jazz Monroe.

Jack White has announced a new children’s book called “We’re Going to Be Friends,” after the White Stripes song. It’s out November 7 via Third Man Books. The picture book, illustrated by “The Ren & Stimpy Show” and “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” animator Elinor Blake, follows the adventures of the song’s protagonists, Suzy Lee and her friend. The book comes with a download of “We’re Going to Be Friends,” along with cover versions by April March, aka Blake herself, and the Woodstation Elementary School Singers. Back in 2015, Third Man released a kids’ compilation and turntable.
