Jack Nicholson didn’t look pleased seeing his favorite team lose.

The longtime actor, 81, took his usual seat courtside at the Lakers game in Los Angeles on Thursday alongside his 27-year-old son Ray Nicholson. Wearing all black, the longtime Lakers fan watched his team closely while Ray followed along sporting a floral print shirt and black baseball cap. The Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors, leaving Nicholson visibly displeased.

Nicholson is rarely seen at public events — he was last spotted at a Lakers’ game in November, again accompanied his son.

Nicholson hasn’t appeared in any projects since 2010’s How Do You Know and told The Sun in a 2013 interview that he’s less motivated to “be out there any more.”

The movie business is the greatest business but I only want to do films that move people, films about emotions and people,” he said.

Since then, Nicholson signed on to do a remake of the Oscar-nominated foreign film Toni Erdmann in early 2017, but dropped out of the project last August.

His son Ray is trying his hand at the family business, recently appearing in the season finale of Mayans M.C.. Creator Kurt Sutter spoke to Entertainment Weekly about casting the acting icon’s son in the TV show.

“We’re buddies. I’m mentoring him,” Sutter said of Ray, whose mother is Rebecca Broussard, 56. “He’s such a sweet kid who’s a really good actor.”

Nicholson had son Ray with Broussard, who he also shares daughter Lorraine, 28, with.
