MATT FORTE: Where did that start, do you think? Because it is like a Jack McBrayer trope now where, like, I feel like you have such a unique and specific voice. And keep me honest here, but I feel like you're one of those guys that'll show up to a set and very often you'll have a director say to you, just give me the Jack McBrayer thing. That's what I want. I want you to do the thing that you do. Does that happen a lot?

JACK MCBRAYER: I mean, I'm not going to say no. And here's the thing. I like doing it.

MATT FORTE: Yeah.

JACK MCBRAYER: And it would be different if it was like some albatross that I was like, oh, gosh. What a cross to bear. But I like it, and--

MATT FORTE: Yeah.

JACK MCBRAYER: And one thing that I have discovered about it-- and I think other people have too-- it can be-- that character can be a good foil to a host of other characters. So, you know, to be a sweet simpleton can play off of a great number of other characters to good effect.
