Jack Huston lands lead in 'The Crow' remake

Relativity’s remake of The Crow has cast Jack Huston in the tragic lead role, EW confirmed.

Huston will play Eric Draven, the part originally portrayed by Brandon Lee in the 1994 film.

In the original film, Eric and his fiancée are brutally murdered by members of a gang the night before their wedding. On the anniversary of their death, Eric rises from the grave and assumes the role of the Crow, a supernatural avenger.

The remake will be directed by Corin Hardy (The Hallow) and is set to begin production in 2015.

Huston is currently shooting the title role in the Ben-Hur remake.
