Jack Harlow Tapped As Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Halftime Performer

Jack Harlow will be the halftime performer for the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving game. The official Lions X/Twitter account shared the news on Monday (Oct. 30). Additionally, the NFL team dropped a press release detailing their annual Turkey Day exhibition.

“Hailed as the ‘hitmaker of tomorrow,’ multiple GRAMMY-nominated rapper, actor, entrepreneur, philanthropist Jack Harlow is one of music’s brightest stars,” the press release reads. “In May 2023, Harlow made his passion for reinvesting, uplifting, and supporting organizations aiming to make his hometown of Louisville, KY, a better place official by launching The Jack Harlow Foundation.”

The NFL has also tapped country duo The War And Treaty to perform a rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner.”

Jack Harlow appeared during the NFL’s Monday Night Football game between Detroit and the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday. Ryan Clark and Michelle Beisner-Buck introduced him and the news of his Thanksgiving show to the world.

While Harlow was honored for the opportunity, he took the time to show love to Clark. The six-time GRAMMY award-nominated artist explained that the Pittsburgh Steelers were his favorite team and that the former Steeler was a “legend” to him.

“My dad is a Steelers fan so he raised me to watch the Steelers. And so my prime era is when he was right in there, headed to the Super Bowl, playing side-by-side with [Troy] Polamalu. This guy is a legend to me, truly. This is truly surreal,” he said.

Along with the Lions vs Packers game, the NFL has also announced more games for Turkey Day. The Washington Commanders will visit “Jerry’s World” for an NFC East showdown against the Cowboys. Commanders vs Cowboys will air live on CBS at 4:30 PM EST. The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Seattle Seahawks to end the tripleheader on Thanksgiving night. Seahawks and 49ers will do battle on NBC at 8:20 PM EST.
