'Law & Order', 'Rescue Me' director pleads guilty to child porn charges

TV director Jason “Jace” Alexander pleaded guilty on Friday to child pornography charges. Westchester County (N.Y.) DA Janet DiFiore said Alexander, 51, entered the plea to charges of promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene performance by a child. Sentencing is set for May 3.

Alexander’s credits include 32 episodes of the original Law & Order and 19 installments of Rescue Me. He has also appeared in several roles for television and TV movies and was a co-executive producer on NBC’s Blacklist for 16 episodes between 2013 and 2014. In June, Alexander was elected second vice-president of the Directors Guild of America.

Alexander faces a maximum of seven years in state prison.
