J Lo's The New Face of Versace After Slipping Back Into Iconic Dress 20 Years Later

Goodbye Gucci! Jennifer Lopez is the new face of Versace. The 50-year-old walking goddess made the exciting announcement on her social media Saturday, just months after she walked the runway in her famed Versace dress two decades later. The "Medicine" singer posted the news by sharing several photos of her wearing different looks from Versace's spring-summer 2020 campaign, including a suit made out of the same iconic jungle print as her 2000 Grammy dress. J Lo gushed over the opportunity while thanking her good friend Donatella Versace for giving her this honor.

Why Wouldn't They Pick Her?

Flashing her abs in one look while wearing a black dress with cutouts exposing her midriff, the singer wrote, "I am so excited I can finally reveal that I am the face of the #VersaceSS20 campaign!" J Lo continued by writing, "Thank you to @Donatella_Versace and everyone at @Versace for your vision and collaboration." Her celebrity friends went wild over the announcement, including "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Rinna who impersonated J Lo and wore a replica of her iconic dress for Halloween.

Still Scorching 20 Years Later!

Usually a woman of many words, Lisa Rinna opted to use emojis to express her excitement. "🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟," she replied to J Lo's news. As The Blast reported, Jennifer Lopez broke the Internet when she closed out Versace's runway show back in September wearing a replica of her iconic Grammy Awards gown. Amazingly, and to no one's surprise, the singer looked better than ever in the dress 20 years later. Fans will recall, J Lo wore the jungle patterned dress when she accompanied her then-boyfriend Diddy to the award show in February 23, 2000.

She Wins At Life:

When J Lo rocked this dress nearly two full decades ago, she began "trending" before it was actually a thing. The "Dinero" singer looked proud and confident when she closed the Versace show. Flashing her muscular legs and toned physique for several lucky fashion show influencers, J Lo teased a video from the show and captioned it, "So this just happened." She also included hashtags like "still going strong" and "20 year anniversary." The superstar is so on top of her game it's hard to keep up lately. Her "Hustlers" movie made $33 million during opening week, she's set to win an Oscar AND she's engaged to A-Rod. Could life get any better for J Lo?
