J-Lo Hasn't Driven In 25 Years, But A-Rod Still Got Her A $150,000 Porsche 911
Jennifer Lopez hasn't driven in a really, really long time (25 years to be exact), yet her fiance, A-Rod, gave her a $150,000 Porsche to drive, because he can.
No Need For License Renewal Here
The price tag for the red 2019 911 Carrera GTS Porsche was actually $146,420 -- still not too shabby of a birthday gift.
Regardless of her driving ability, Lopez assured her fiance that yes, she did know how to drive:
“Baby I know how to drive! I remember! I haven’t driven in so long baby. This is so crazy. I felt like the party was enough!”
J. Lo was referring to her 50th birthday bash.
Now Jenny Can Circle the Block
J Lo was caught completely by surprise, telling A-Rod that he gave her her freedom with the car, even though he says she hasn't actually driven in 25 years.
"Baby this is so good. You’re giving me my independence back. I did not expect anything like this."
The Surprise Went Swimmingly
J. Lo was certainly caught off-guard, saying “What the hell? What is that? Oh my God!” when she saw the Porsche.
Lopez was more than excited at the chance to take it out on the road.
"I’m going to have to drive? It’s beautiful! I’ve never driven a car like that! I’ve never had a car like this. I’ve never driven a car, period! My heart’s beating out of my chest!”
Lopez wondered if she even remembered how to drive, to which A-Rod asked for a "double seat belt."
A Family Affair
Rodriguez says he worked with their kids -- Ella, 11, and Natasha, 14 -- to pull off the classy surprise for Jenny From the Block
He blindfolded her and led her outside their home in Miami. Then, with Natasha behind the wheel, the kids delivered her present.
“What do you get someone who already has everything? You have to be creative," says Rodriguez.
