J.K. Simmons Reveals Details About ‘Justice League’

We’re still more than a year away from the release of the much-anticipated Justice League, but some news has come our way. J.K. Simmons, who is succeeding Gary Oldman in the role of Commissioner Jim Gordon, shared info about the film with Entertainment Tonight. He said, “In this first installment of the Justice League, Commissioner Gordon is not a particularly sizable part. We just kind of introduce him and see a little bit of his interactions with Batman — and with most of the Justice League.”

This year hasn’t been kind to DC Films. The animated Killing Joke, Suicide Squad, and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice all got their fair share of criticism. With that bad energy percolating, you might think things had been tense on the Justice League set, but that wasn’t the case, according to Simmons. He told ET, “That was a really fun set. Zack [Snyder] runs … a big, happy family.” The Oscar winner also called Snyder nice, smart, competent, fun, and a person “you don’t mind spending a 12-hour day with.”
