J. Cole Launches Hurricane Florence Relief Efforts

His nonprofit Dreamville Foundation is providing aid to those in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina

The Dreamville Foundation, J. Cole’s nonprofit, has launched relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Florence. They’ll be setting up hot food stations, temporary housing options for families, and supplying food for pantries and shelters throughout Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. The foundation will also support “other local nonprofits who whelp provide services for the people in Fayetteville.” Donate to the relief efforts here.

According to Dreamville’s website, over 19,000 people are currently living in shelters in North Carolina from the effects of Hurricane Florence. A record-breaking 30 inches of rainfall has also affected the state with even more flooding expected throughout the weekend.

J. Cole’s first-ever Dreamville Festival was slated to happen last weekend, but was ultimately postponed due to the hurricane. Young Thug, SZA, Big Sean, and others were supposed to perform along with Cole himself. Cole is currently on tour behind his new record K.O.D.
