J. Cole announces 2024 Dreamville Festival

Today (Oct. 23), J. Cole and his team officially announced that Dreamville Festival is returning to Raleigh, NC in April 2024. Those who head over to the event’s website can sign up for updates, including early bird ticket sales.
“Dreamville Fest 2023 was a major cultural moment for the spring festival season,” said President Adam Roy via press release. “We had amazing performances from some of the biggest artists of my generation and we plan to bring that same energy in 2024! Lineup coming soon.”
2023’s Dreamville Festival is considered the most successful to date, much in part thanks to receiving 100,000 festival attendees from around the globe, including many that arrived from 23 countries across four continents. In addition to Cole, heavyweights like Drake, Usher, Burna Boy, Lil Durk, Summer Walker, City Girls, Sean Paul, GloRilla, Waka Flocka Flame, Key Glock, and Dreamville’s star-studded roster took to the stage in Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park.
During its inaugural run in 2019, Cole was asked about how long he’d been planning to create Dreamville Festival. “For years. Maybe we started talking about it five years ago and then started really planning it three years ago,” the “MIDDLE CHILD” star explained to TIDAL’s “Rap Radar Podcast.” “I came back home to Raleigh in 2015 — I’m not from Raleigh, I moved here — and we started talking about it then. [We] started looking around the city.”
He continued by revealing his initial intentions for bringing Dreamville Festival to his hometown. “At first, we tried to [do it in Fayetteville], but [that city] just don’t got the resources. Ain’t enough hotel rooms, ain’t a big enough space for this. So then we started looking in Raleigh, looking around like, ‘Yo, it’s a void here.’ It’s a void in Carolina, period, for this type of thing.”
