'iZombie' Sneak Peek: Care for a Little Brains With Your Banter?
Fancy for a little bad guy dialogue to accompany your brainy breakfast? You’ve come to the right place, iZombie fans — Blaine is serving it up hot.
In our exclusive clip from tonight’s episode, “Max Wager,” Liv (Rose McIver) and Blaine (David Anders) are engaged in a banter that’s so Buffy and Spike we can hardly stand it. With just 60 seconds of footage, we learn three pretty major things about the zombie entrepreneur we love to hate.
1. Something’s wrong with his feet. Or something.
Not only does Liv make a reference to Blaine being unable to climb a set of stairs, but he’s all down in the dumps and binging. “Join me for my last meal,” he says, and, sure enough, he’s surrounded by three bottles of wine and a ton of food. Whether there’s something physically wrong with him or he’s just feeling the heat of Detective Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) closing in on him for the Meat Cute massacre, Blaine’s also acting all kinds of wistful and introspective.
2. Human Blaine was no catch either.
“Before I became a zombie, I was wasting my life,” he broods. “Human Blaine was a nobody, an underachiever. He was a joke. Zombie Blaine though — Zombie Blaine was the man.” Of course, we’d gladly take slacker Blaine over murderer Blaine any day of the week.
