Ivanka Trump Stuns During Trip to Morocco In Local Designs and These $145 Flats

Ivanka Trump is currently in Morocco as part of a three-day visit to promote the economic empowerment of women in developing countries, and along with her political skills, the first daughter is also showing off her fashion prowess. While visiting an olive-producing collective in a region north of the capital of Rabat, Ivanka was seen rocking a very chic outfit. Along with a black and white tunic that she belted at the waist, Ivanka wore a pair of simple black flats to traverse the terrain around Morocco.

The Sustainable Shoes

According to the experts at FootwearNews, Ivanka was wearing her favorite kicks, a pair of solid black pointed-toe flats from Rothy's. The shoes retail for $145 and Rothy's promises the look "gives instant polish to any outfit."

Keeping in mind with the environment, Rothy's uses materials crafted from recycled and repurposed water bottles and produces the shoes in a "sustainable, fully owned and operated workshop." So far, Rothy's has used materials harvested from over 41 million plastic bottles.

Ivanka Trump is a senior White House adviser to her father, President Donald Trump, and mainly deals with women's issues. She has been in charge of the U.S. government’s Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative, which encourages developing countries to help women build wealth and financial independence through the ownership of land and property.

On Thursday, she met with four women who had either inherited or purchased land at an olive grove. Taking to Instagram afterwards, Ivanka reflected on her time with the women.

"It was a joy meeting these strong Moroccan women, and now property owners!"

"W-GDP aims to improve legal rights, land productivity and employability for women in Morocco, and across the world."

Her Other Looks

Ivanka made sure to stock up on style choices while in Morocco, and she has not disappointed. After leaving the olive grove she slipped into a new outfit for a meeting with the head of the Moroccan government to discuss her initiative. While wearing a green silk dress with a patterned cape, Ivanka shared some insight from her meeting.

"Today we met with Morocco’s Head of Government and Foreign Minister to sign implementing documents to further legal reforms in property rights that will actualize the economic empowerment of Moroccan women."

Moroccan Designs & A Sweet Welcome

Ivanka Trump has been showing off some fantastic fashion since she touched down in Morocco, and it turns out her inspiration was well-calculated. She has been wearing clothes by Moroccan fashion designer, Fadila El Gadi. Ivanka touched down in the North African country on Wednesday wearing a gray embroidered suit jacket and matching pants, and Fadila El Gadi took to Instagram to show her appreciation for bringing attention to the locally designed couture.

"Proud that Ivanka Trump has chosen to wear my creations when visiting Morocco."

Ivanka was given a very warm welcome when she was met at the airport by Morocco's Princess Lalla Meryem, along with other government officials. Photos showed Ivanka being offered gifts of dates and milk, which are traditional offerings in Morocco for guests. Ivanka definitely appreciated the kind gestures, and shared her thanks on Instagram.

"Thank you to Her Royal Highness Lalla Meryem for a warm welcome to Morocco!"
