The world knows all about POTUS-elect Donald Trump, but what about his stunning eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump? Us Weekly Video digs deeper to reveal six surprising facts you didn’t know about the 35-year-old. Watch above!
Ivanka, who runs her own fashion and shoe line, was named after her mother, Ivana Trump. In fact, on her birth certificate, the former model’s real name is Ivana.
The businesswoman made her TV debut cohosting the 1997 Miss Teen USA pageant and also contemplated a career in acting and ballet. As a child, she danced in The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center and later auditioned for the role of Cosette in Les Misérables on Broadway. In her 25 Things with Us Weekly, Ivanka confessed that her audition “didn’t work out.”
Prior to marrying her husband, Jared Kushner, the designer dated cyclist Lance Armstrong and actor Topher Grace briefly in 2006. Ivanka met her hubby in 2007 and converted to Judaism before their 2009 wedding.
“We’re pretty observant, more than some, less than others. I just feel like it’s such an intimate thing for us," she told Vogue in 2015 of her new religion. "It’s been such a great life decision for me. I am very modern, but I’m also a very traditional person, and I think that’s an interesting juxtaposition in how I was raised as well. I really find that with Judaism, it creates an amazing blueprint for family connectivity."
