Ivanka Trump has put a style stamp on the one-shoulder look, both on and off the clock.

On Sunday, the first daughter boarded Air Force One in New Jersey en route to Washington, D.C., wearing a $198 white, buttoned-down, off-the-shoulder Reformation Mariposa dress, which she paired with tan, flat sandals, while carrying 1-year-old son Theodore and holding the hand of 6-year-old daughter Arabella. The dress style, reminiscent of old Hollywood, has been dubbed “The Bardot” for actress Brigitte Bardot and her 1960s vibes.

Just as Michelle Obama brought biceps to the White House, Trump is popularizing shoulders, which she’s revealed on multiple occasions in a variety of off-the-shoulder ensembles. But that has been met with some criticism — especially in light of a recent report that women are prohibited from showing their shoulders in the House of Representatives.

In June, Trump attended the annual congressional picnic on the White House lawn wearing a floral off-the-shoulder Reformation dress, which she paired with blue, lace-up slippers from her namesake fashion line. Social media reception was mixed, with some calling it beautiful and others saying the first daughter looked “half-naked.”

A few months earlier, the first daughter choose a black Dolce & Gabbana gown for dinner with Shinzo Abe, the Japanese prime minister, at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla.

And she showed her shoulders to her father’s first address to a joint session of Congress, wearing a $2,995 magenta Roland Mouret off-the-shoulder dress.

Twitter wasn’t feeling the dress’s black spaghetti strap, which they mistook for an exposed bra.

Trump also kicked back on a girls’ night in August wearing a $248 red off-the-shoulder, floral, midi-length dress from Reformation.

Girls night!
