The Island Trailer Previews Michael Jai White Action Thriller Movie
Saban Films has dropped The Island trailer for its upcoming action thriller, starring Michael Jai White and Jackson Rathbone. The video features White’s character who returns to his hometown after finding out about his brother’s death. The film is scheduled to make its debut in select theaters, on demand, and digital on July 21.

What to Expect in The Island?
“When his brother is killed, LAPD officer Mark (White) leaves the city to return to the island he grew up on,” reads the synopsis. “Seeking answers and ultimately vengeance, he soon finds himself in a bloody battle with the corrupt tycoon who’s taken over the island paradise.”
The Island is directed by Shaun Paul Piccinino from a screenplay written by Michael Caissie and Philippe Martinez. The film stars Michael Jai White as Mark, Jackson Rathbone as Phil, Gillian White as Akilah, Gabriel Rodriguez as Jose, Cami Storm as Norah, Wayne Gordon as Wayland, Amber Townsend as Carla, and more.
The film is executive produced by Lee Beasley, Karinne Behr, Alastair Burlingham, Danny Chan, Charlie Dombek, J.T. Foxx, Lisa Gabriel, Jacob Katsman, and Gary Raskin, with Alan Latham and Philippe Martinez serving as producers.
