The story takes place in an alternate version of Earth where magic exists. Here, genetics also play a determining factor in how powerful a magic user is. Tatsuya Shiba and his sister Miyuki Shiba enroll at the prestigious First High School, and they are quickly separated due to the institution’s segregation policies. As the story progresses, it becomes apparent that each sibling is uniquely gifted.
The Irregular at Magic High School features the voices of Yuichi Nakamura as Tatsuya Shiba and Saori Hayami as Miyuki Shiba. The voice cast also includes Yoko Hikasa as Angelina Kudou Shields and Yumi Uchiyama as Erika Chiba.
